Alert Rondae Hollis-Jefferson fans who don’t want to sit through entire Nets games just to see him score 6 points: this career-high-tying performance by RHJ contains two RHJumpers. TWO. Not zero, not one. Two. Seeing him make layups is cool and all, but what people really want to see is him somehow guiding the ball into the hole with his mangled shooting form.
You could just feel Knicks fans deflate after he hit his second one, a goofy-looking stepback in Lance Thomas’ face. I think any opposing fanbase would react negatively to that shot; it was, in typical RHJ fashion, stilted and angular. Not smooth at all. His first one might have been even worse as a shot. Is it really a good idea for him to pull up from the foul line on a fast break?
The rest of his points, well, they were basically all Jeremy Lin’s doing. But we don’t care about the rest of his points, not when there are two primo RHJumpers to be seen.
