Alright, I love Tyler Ulis and all, but 24 shot attempts is maybe a little much. That’s a LOT of shots hoisted. You could argue that someone had to replace Booker’s shooting volume, and I would argue that Jarell Eddie could have shouldered more of the load. Okay, maybe not him, maybe T.J. Warren instead. Now THERE’s a guy who could shoot 30 times no problemo.
24 shots to score 17 is kind of Westbrook-esque, don’t you think? As are the 11 assists. The 3 rebounds are maybe substandard by Westbrooks standards, but other than that, yeah. I can see the comparison, totally. So now, instead of his NBA comp just being Steve Nash, it’s a mix of Steve Nash and Westbrook! Damn, I’m getting really excited for the Suns future right now. The Suns just need to surround Ulis with some shooters and a pick-and-roll big who isn’t completely undersized, and they’ll be set to get a couple 7th seeds or something.
