Dënniß ßchrööder kinda took over the game in the third quarter tonight. Derrick Rose couldn’t hold him at all, which is expected I guess. Jae Crowder couldn’t hold him either. No one could hold him. He was unholdable.
The Rajon Rondo comparisons from earlier in his career should be pretty much invalidated by now. As time goes on, ßchrööder seems to get less and less eager to pass and more and more eager to shoot jumpers. As the number one banana on the Hawks, that’s how it should be. Why would he pass to… whoever else it is that’s on his team. The most guaranteed way of getting a shot attempt on a possession is to shoot it yourself.
The Hawks probably aren’t as bad as their record indicates, but this win over the Cavaliers doesn’t mean much. ßchrööder had a great game, but when Rose is “guarding” you it’s hard to avoid that.
