Just for “fun”, I’m going to figure out how long it took for Thomas Robinson to score 20 points in a game. Not over a series of multiple games, but in a single game. I’m pretty sure it happened, but if I come back with the answer “NULL”, I apologize. To basketball-reference!
I’m back! I have the answers that I sought, and I also made a pit stop at my local 7-11 and grabbed some of those cheapo hotdogs that they’ve got. And a Slurpee. So, the moment of truth: the numbers of games it took Thomas Robinson, who is yet another Kings bust, to score 20 or more points is… 263!
That’s a lot of games! Marvin Bagley is in game 4 and he’s already done it. Wasn’t T-Rob supposed to be NBA ready? Because he wasn’t. Bagley is young, so assumedly he’s somewhat raw, but he’s already showing a pretty decent scoring touch around the basket. If he ends up being a bust, I predict he’ll be the type of bust who is still kinda okay but not as good as hoped, rather than the total bust who just sucks and is out of the league soon after his rookie contract expires.
Still waiting on Harry Giles, though. Check back for more updates regarding his bust status in future videos.
