Jake Layman 17 Points Full Highlights (2/13/2019)

True NBA fans will note the similarities this game by Jake Layman has to Layman’s NBA debut, which was a 17-point explosion against the Warriors. That game was played in garbage time, with Layman getting a bunch of buckets against whatever scrubs inhabited the Warriors’ bench back then. This time around, it was Layman turning the game into garbage time. He scored his 17 points starting late in the third quarter. When he began his onslaught, it was a close game. When he finished it, it was a blowout, the Warriors (and Steve Kerr, especially) having imploded in the face of his opportunistic bucket-getting. Oh, how the tables have turned. Who’s the scrub now? It’s Stephen Curry and his ragtag group of “stars”.

I don’t even really know all the stuff that went down that resulted in the Warriors falling apart, but I do know that Layman helped the situation by taking a charge against Draymond Green right before the flagrant and the screaming and the ejection. It was just one more straw on the camel’s (donkey’s) back, one closer to breaking the whole thing.

Maybe after the Warriors lose in the WCF to the Blazers, Draymond can hurry to the parking lot and call up Layman and beg him to come to the Warriors like he did with Durant. And Layman can laugh in his face.
