Donte DiVincenzo 17 Points Full Highlights (8/13/2020)

I was really pleased with how Donte DiVincenzo played during the “regular” regular season. His shooting was drastically improved from year one to year two, and so was his everything else. But now, in the “bubble” regular season, DiVincenzo hasn’t been playing as well. In particular, his shooting has fallen off a cliff, and that in turn makes me feel like I want to fall off a cliff. And we’re not talking about a metaphorical cliff here. We’re talking about a real cliff made out of real rock with a real sheer drop of 300 feet.

Prior to this game, DiVincenzo was 3-of-15 from three in The Bubb. I get that there’s such a thing as a random stretch of bad games, but with each subpar performance I could feel my undying love for him become slightly less undying and slightly more dying-prone. I won’t say that my love for him was actually dying, but it was getting to the point where it could theoretically start dying if the poor stretch of play continued. That was scary. It was like being in a failing relationship where you’re watching things start to fall apart but you’re powerless to prevent it from happening.

Jennifer…

Anyway, I’m feeling a bit better now because DDV had a good game. It gives me hope that he can be good in the playoffs. Not like I’m going to watch any of the playoffs. My fragile psyche can’t withstand the stress of playoff games that actually matter because they might eventually result in a championship ring.
