I’m not a NBA-quality coach or anything, but I’ve got an idea for a gameplan that would really help the Nets out in this series against the Hawks.
Don’t have Alan Anderson be your leading scorer in a game.
That’s just asking for trouble. It’s cool if he scores points. In fact, he should be encouraged to do so. But having him score the MOST points? Bad idea. Other players should step up before him. Joe Johnson maybe. Or Deron Williams. Brook Lopez? At least one of these players, among others, should be scoring more than Alan Anderson in a particular game.
The Hawks went into this series thinking “we’re gonna let Alan Anderson get his”. Make someone else beat you, as the saying goes. What good is the Aardvark scoring 23 if his team doesn’t even win? Exactly.
