In this episode of DTB’s Honesty Hour, where DTB sits in front down with his fans and only tells plain facts unmolested by lies or deceit, we’re going to talk about Ryan Anderson. Specifically, how good Ryan Anderson is supposed to be in the mystical D’Antoni system.
Remember, this is Honesty Hour, so I’m going to be totally serious here with no jokes. All opinions stated here are honest, for that is the name of the game here on DTB’s Honesty Hour.
Ryan Anderson should be scoring more points than he is. An offense geared around shooting three-pointers and spearheaded by a drive-and-kick savant in James Harden should be the perfect scenario for Ryno. I honestly thought that he would be scoring twenty PPG this season, given that he scored 17 PPG last season in a Pelicans system that was less tailored to his needs. If we’re being honest, which we are given that this is an hour devoted entirely to honesty and nothing but, I thought that Ryno would be clear #2 on the team next to Harden. I never thought he would be averaging 13 points per game.
Part of the problem is that, for some reason, Ryan Anderson is shooting around 40% on his non-three field goal attempts. That’s poopy. He needs somebody to tell him to shoot better. It could be me but I don’t think he reads my video descriptions. If I got a chance I would also tell him that layups are supposed to be easy even if you have no hops. It seems like layups are always harder for him than they should be.
Tune in next time when I tell you all about how turkey isn’t even very tasty and we should all be eating buckets of fried chicken from KFC for Thanksgiving dinner. Sorry mom. I ain’t eating that nasty dried-out bird again this year. You saw how jealous Uncle Rick was of my KFC bucket.
