Well, this was unexpected.
Obviously MarShon has it in him to score this many points on a semi-regular basis, but the Nets don’t seem very interested in playing him decent minutes. So when he does get in the game, he tries to do too much and gets taken right back out. That’s great. We wouldn’t want to see young talent develop, would we?
It could be argued that Brooks is nothing but afro-Kobe reincarnated, retaining the afro but minus a fair bit of talent. And what good is a Kobe-like player? Not very much good, unless you like raw PPGZ. That argument has flown out the window since Mar$wag has now shown that he can be a distributor as well as a scorer.
Forget about Joe Johnson. He’s overpaid and old. MarShon Brooks is the future.
