If you listen to the commentators in this highlights (I don’t listen to them except for making these things), you will notice one of them saying something to the effect of “You can just forget about the first 14 games of the season, because we didn’t have a point guard”.
There is a guy who gets paid to talk about basketball who actually said that. What the hell?
It’s not like the Jazz are gonna be super great now that they have Burke. Maybe better, sure, but any team that can take John Lucas III out of the rotation is bound to get better just because.
The real problem with the Jazz is that Favors and Kanter don’t seem to mesh very well. Neither one has a jumpshot that really needs to be respected, so the paint gets clogged up. They tried bringing Kanter off the bench for a while, but they didn’t have any shooting bigs to replace him so it didn’t really matter. Where’s Okur when you need him?
