One of the reasons I started this channel was to avenge those Drew Gooden triple doubles that never had highlights made of them. I mean, come on. Drew Gooden. Triple doubles. Plural. Not just one. Multiple triple doubles. Not wimpy ones either; these babies had 13 dimes apiece.
But Gooden was already an afterthought in Milwaukee by the time I registered this account. No more trippy-doobies for him. And then he got amnestied, and I thought that was the end of him and his strange half-Finnish half-Black look.
But then the Wizards signed him off the scrap heap and hope was rekindled in my heart. And now he’s scored his first points as a Wizard.
His game is pretty much exactly how I remember it. He likes to take long twos. He can finish decently and is capable of making nice passes. I saw a bit of his defense, and that, too, is just how I remember. Awful. Just totally awful. I can imagine Wizards fans getting sick of him quick if they sign for the remainder of the season.
Or maybe they’re too blinded by the joy of possibly making the playoffs to be discerning.
