Screw computers.
DownToBuck wanted to make some highlights last night. Of who? Gerald Green of course. 41 points, hot damn. 8 threes, oh man. One of the most exciting games of the season, and a scintillating performance by one of the league’s rising stars.
So I get the clips, artfully arrange them in the usual DTB fashion (you know what I mean, hell yeah), and start rendering that shizz.
Then suddenly, CRACK! My computer shuts off. I see smoke. I smell smoke. Frickin’ power surge took out my computer’s power supply. Luckily it didn’t fry the motherboard or anything, and all my 1’s and 0’s are still good. Remember to keep backups, folks. You never know when stuff is gonna go down.
Anyway, this was late at night so I gotta wait a whole day before I could head over to my local (none of that BestBuy crap) computer store and pick up a new power supply. No Gerald Green highlights, it’s way too late for that now. But I jammed that sucker in my rig and now everything’s good. Hopefully. Making these highlights took a toll on my psyche. I keep hearing that popping noise over and over again in my mind.
So you better enjoy these highlights. Although it’s hard not to, because the Raptors commentators get inordinately hyped over everything that the Raptors do. I got dangerously hyped and I don’t even care about Canada.
