It baffles me how you’re allowed to say “Red Rocket” on TV. I know it’s Matt Bonner’s nickname, but it is also a reference to the male organ. Is the joke that Bonner has a really big one? Or a small one? Or an especially red one? Or just that it’s funny to have a nickname that also means “penis”?
There are kids watching these games, you know. They don’t need that filth put into their innocent little ears. On that note, I’m also getting a little tired of all the swearing that happens on the court. Failed defensive rotation? “Oh SHIT!” Missed an open jumper? “SHIT!” Get outhustled for a rebound? “FUCK!” There are other words you can use to communicate your displeasure. When I’m playing a pickup game, I say stuff like “Oh phooey!”, “Shucks!”, and “Drat!” to let off a little steam.
For some reason the guys at the park are always making fun of me. But the joke’s on them. My mother raised me the right fucking way.
