Injuries are finally catching up to the Hawks, who are now fighting for their playoff lives. It was just a matter of time after Horford went down that they would remember that he was the whole reason they were good and start sucking.
Mike Scott is acting as a surrogate Horford, and is kind of similar to him, except instead of being really good he’s just okay on the whole and pretty bad recently. He loves shooting that ultra-flat jumper of his, has two first names, and is maybe the worst player to score 30 or more this season.
Now that I think about it Tony Wroten is worse. But my point still stands.
Not saying he’s bad or anything; he can be pretty good but he’s not consistent at all, like many players who shoot lots of long jumpers. His three point shot has deserted him entirely, but he made up for it tonight by getting lots of good looks around the rim. This was an important win for the Hawks if they want to earn the privilege of getting crushed by the Heat in the first round.
