I didn’t expect to see something like this at any point this season. I guess that’s what makes the NBA so much fun; crazy things can happen at any time. Caron Butler just took over the game, and almost brought the Pistons back from the depths of sheol.
Sure, he still has the ability to shoot a bunch of shots, I don’t think that ever will go away. It’s just that I didn’t think it likely that he’d be anything more than a hardly-playing player-coach type, and thus would never get the minutes to accumulate significant point totals.
Desperate times call for desperate chuckers.
The Pistons are having a tough time of it this season, which is totally understandable considering their lack of talent. Caron Butler is perhaps the most accomplished scorer on their roster. Oh man. That hurts to type. Sympathy pain for the suffering of Pistons fans? Or just this wretched carpal tunnel?
