There are a lot of odd stats in the NBA. I think that’s the whole reason they play the game; to accumulate numbers for analysis. One of the odder stats is the one for active career playoff free-throw percentage.

Yeah, it’s Brandon Bass, captain clutch himself, sitting at slightly below 91 percent. Watching these highlights you would think that this makes perfect sense; he makes all his shown free throws after all. What you don’t see is the missed one, a terrible anomaly for a normally stone-hearted charity stripe assassin. He dunked it a bunch of times afterwards to try and atone, but no matter what he does he can never turn that miss into a make.
