I don’t feel like doing the research, but it seems like Nick Collison must be one of the longest tenured players to never average double figures in any stat over a season. I know, I know, his impact is made in ways that don’t show up in the box score, yada yada, he’s always making teams better, blah blah blah. Whatever.
I don’t care about that other stuff. I care about points. That’s what this channel is about. It’s not about setting good screens and having good defensive rotations. The people want dunks and threes and crossovers.
Well, Collison provided one of those three tonight when he hit a corner three, a shot that he has stealthily added to his repertoire in a valiant effort to remain relevant. That’s good enough for me! 15 points is totally legit, a point total he has not reached since December 2010. Now is my last and only chance to make highlights of him before he dissolves into component atoms.
