There’s something about the 76ers where any point guard who goes there can put up numbers. Michael Carter-Williams is the most obvious beneficiary; he won rookie of the year entirely because of the sick numbers he was able to amass while his team bottomed out. Let’s look at some other Sixer PG’s:
Ish Smith: You’d think the fastest guy in the NBA would stick somewhere, but he’s been on eight different teams. Now he’s on the 76ers and getting career highs across the board. His new nickname is “Bish Slap”.
Tim Frazier: This guy had so many numbers he looked like he fell out of a math textbook.
Isaiah Canaan: Gets traded, immediately gets to work on building up his numbers. Meanwhile, Morey examines his spreadsheets in vain and silently contemplates the handgun he’s holding in his hand.
Larry Drew II: Maybe the exception. He kinda sucked.
Alexey Shved: Boosting his numbers in Philly, and now in New York, Alexey can now comfortably claim to be the best Russian in the NBA as long as you forget about Timofey Mozgov.
Eric Maynor: They’re still paying this guy, but he got waived almost a year ago. Whoa.
