Jordan Clarkson wins this year’s “Nate Wolters Award for Excellence in the Face of Being a Second Round Pick Forced Into a Bad Situation Because of Injuries”. Congratulations Jordan! You receive nothing, unless you consider the above title “something”. I don’t.
We can look back and wonder why every team in the first round of the draft passed on this guy. Hindsight is great in situations like this, because, unless you actually typed out and posted somewhere a pre-draft opinion on Clarkson, you can claim that you always knew he was gonna be good.
That’s what I’m doing right now! Even a blind idiot could see, even from his early days at Tulsa, that he was ready to become a NBA-quality guard/total beast. Freakish athleticism and a smooth jumper? Greatness is basically the only option for the kid. The GM’s who passed on him are all stupid, and all of them should have their unearned positions replaced by me or an equivalent internet commentator.
