Last time I made a Rodney Hood highlight video I included a self-penned rap as the description. I must have gotten the attention of some people in higher places, because just earlier today a bigshot label exec called me up. Long story short, he wants to front me some cash to make a music video out of the rap.
Here’s whats going to go down: Me and Rodney Hood are going to go down to his hometown of Meridian, Mississippi for the filming. He’s totally down with this, by the way. He knows this is a great chance to build his personal brand.
Anyway, we’re going to get a fancy car and ride around the streets that he grew up on, accompanied by some scantily clad women shaking their endowments around. Then I will say the rap as I drive the sweet ride around. Rodney will be riding shotgun, waving around a real shotgun for emphasis of how thug life we are. The budget should be big enough to allow for this.
Marijuana will also be featured prominently in the video.
This is just a rough outline of how I want it to be. You know these label people, they mess with your creative vision sometimes to move more product. I have confidence in my idea, though, I don’t see how this won’t be the hottest track of the summer.
