Someone on the Pistons’ coaching staff must have told the players that it is okay to take pull-up three pointers in transition. At first I thought it was just Spencer Dinwiddie being a rookie and Brandon Jennings being Brandon Jennings. But now I’ve noticed Kentavious Caldwell-Pope doing it as well. This seems to be an epidemic.
Stan Van Gundy is either loving it or hating it. Judging by his expression, hating it, but you can’t really tell. Maybe he was the one who told them to do it in the first place.
I’m loving it. More possessions = more fun. Teams play too slow nowadays. A couple swaggy transition triples is the perfect cure for the NBA’s plodding pace. They might not be the most efficient shots if you are an advanced stats dorktron, but if you’re a fan of basketball, they’re the best.
