It took a whole season, but the Atlanta Hawks are finally starting to realize that Pero Antic and Elton Brand are kind of sucking this year. Not only are they sucking, but they are old as well. If you’re gonna have an ineffectual player on the court, that player might as well have youthful energy to cover up/enhance their weaknesses.
Enter Mike Muscala.
Is he any good? Nah. Is he young? Yeah! Does he have potential? Maybe! He can hit jumpers all the way out to the three point line, a new development that renders Pero redundant. Other than that, he’s your bog-standard big with a Minnesotan heritage. The kind of player who is quickly forgotten after his retirement, and then you look back at the rosters for that Hawks 2015-2019 four-peat dynasty and wonder “Who the hell was Mike Muscala?”.
