It’s a known fact that everybody on the 2009-10 New Jersey Nets, the team that went 12-70, is cursed. Many of the players on that team are out of the league, and those that are in the league have yet to find sustained success on good teams. Devin Harris is doing good on the Mavs, and Brook Lopez is still with the Nets and being a beast, but that’s about it. Kris Humphries is still around, but Yi Jianlian and Terrence Williams are goner than gone.
Courtney Lee of the Grizzlies might be the first player from that team to work their way to a contender. The only way you could disagree is if you think that the Grizzlies aren’t contenders this year or that the Mavericks ARE contenders this year (insert laughing/crying emoji here). So, then the question is, has the curse been broken? Can Josh Boone return to average eight points per game for some team? Can Jarvis Hayes make an improbable old-age comeback? If Courtney Lee makes it past the second round, anything is possible my friends.
