My #payAttentionToCourtneyLee Twitter campaign has failed to gain any significant amount of momentum since I launched it two days ago. I don’t get it. Do I need to pay Twitter users to use my hashtag? Do I need to pay Twitter to promote it? If somebody tells me who to give money to, I will give money to them so that people pay attention to Courtney Lee. That’s what it’s come down to.
Why is the internet so hard? I should be able to make stuff go viral whenever I want. People should be falling all over themselves to tweet stuff even without the promise of monetary reward. I tweet stuff for free all the time. It doesn’t even take that much effort, especially when somebody else is telling you what hashtags you need to use.
At this point I’m kind of hoping that Courtney Lee suffers a severe dropoff in production just so I don’t have to worry about my stupid Twitter campaign anymore.
