With the Pelicans’ best players all resting their booties on the bench for one reason or another (Holiday, Davis, Evans), Eric Gordon channeled his pre-injury, Clippers-era self to put on an impressive scoring clinic. Is this the year where he plays the full 82-game slate without once injuring himself?
He’s not leading the team to very many wins with his Jennings-esque percentages, but the backup SG for the Pelicans doesn’t exist unless it’s Jimmer Fredette, so it is in everybody’s best interests for Gordon to stay healthy. Or they can trade us Ryan Anderson for Jerryd Bayless. That would be a fair trade, and then Gordon wouldn’t have to worry about the inevitability of his legs exploding.
