It’s not like anybody needs another reason to hate Reggie Miller, but here’s another one anyway: he stated that T.J. Warren was a “struggling” young player, when, in fact, the opposite is true. Since when does averaging ten points per game on 50% shooting and playing a valuable role for a 40-win team count as “struggling”? If you look at the rest of the meatballs from his draft class, most of whom are legitimately struggling in their current situations, Reggie’s comment makes even less sense. In fact, I have compiled a list of players from the 2014 draft who are struggling less than Warren is:
-Rodney Hood
-Clint Capela
-Doug McDermott
-Maybe Julius Randle
That’s it. Most of the players in that class aren’t getting any minutes. They’re the struggling ones here.
