Say what you will about the NCAA as an organization, and, indeed, there a lot of things to say about them, but at least their basketball refs understand how to keep a game under control. They know the rules: when Markel Brown dunks the ball, you eject him from the game. No questions asked.
The NBA presents itself as a professional organization of the highest quality. That illusion has been shattered. Markel dunked the ball in an NBA-sanctioned contest, in plain view of everybody in the arena, and the refs stood by and did NOTHING. Forget about ejection, he didn’t even earn a technical for his brazen act. This is the filth we let our children watch?
