If you are a Pistons fan, your disbelief is multiplied tenfold. “B-b-b-but DEE TEE BEE!” you yell at your computer screen, “Ersan Ilyasova scored more than sixteen at least a d-d-dozen times while on the Pistons and you rarely made highlight v-videos for him!”
It’s true, my earnestly distressed viewer. In the weeks leading up to the All-Star break, Ilyasova scored sixteen on three separate occasions and surpassed that total with games of seventeen, eighteen, and nineteen. I ignored all of them, waiting for at least a twenty-point game. Because twenty has a totally different digit in the tens place and looks like way higher of a number even when it really isn’t that much higher.
Your indignation is unabated by my explanation. “W-w-w-why should his debut with a new team be treated, uh, t-t-treated differently, Dee Tee Bee? Ilyasova didn’t even do that good, he fouled out in twenty three m-m-minutes!”
