Wow, who knew? All it took for Aaron Gordon to become the player everyone expected was to be the winner (yes?) of the best dunk contest of the modern era. That’s all! If the Magic had known that, they would have had him in the dunk-off a lot sooner. Oh well. What’s done is done, and we finally can enjoy unfettered A-Gord highlights.
Speaking of unfettered, is anyone else getting Giannis Antetokounmpo vibes from this dude? Just throwing it out there, because I am definitely receiving some Giannis vibes, and they’re not coming from Vucevic or Ilyasova. Those spin moves he had, the shaky jumper, the dunking prowess, the nascent passing ability, the potential for highlight defensive plays, it’s all there. Except Giannis really sucked in the dunk contest.
