Giannis Antetokounmpo 14 Points/8 Assists Full Highlights (2/25/2016)

The “Giannis Antetokounmpo at PG” experiment is back on! After a disastrous trial run two seasons ago, I never thought we’d see it again. You might remember, if you were watching that god-awful Bucks team, a few games where they’d have Giannis bring the ball up the court. He would get smothered on the dribble, hand it off to a more competent player, and go stand in the corner, never to see the ball again. Great! That was really a fun time for Milwaukee fans.

It’s going a lot better this time around, now that Giannis has transformed from raw prospect into legit two-way player. His first act was getting a triple-double against the Lakers. His second act? Getting 8 assists against a team that actually plays defense.

I’m still not totally convinced of Giannis’ efficacy as a PG outside of transition scenarios, but whatever, I can definitely live with the ball being in his hands a large amount of the time. It’s a lot better than whatever MCW is bungling up, a player who is known to be a bad PG in all scenarios, and Mayo, who is just not a PG. Tyler Ennis is the real answer here, and I don’t think anyone realizes it yet. For being an amazing point guard, Jason Kidd is sure bad at evaluating talent at the position.
