We all suspected it at the time, but now our thoughts are confirmed: Nemanja Bjelica’s 24 point outburst a few weeks ago was nothing more than a mirage, a random aligning of the planets to produce a far above average scoring output. It wasn’t an indicator of Nemanja turning a corner, or getting more confident, or earning the trust of the coaches, or anything like that. It was just 24 points.
Aside from that game, this has been a dismal season for Buhjellicka. Look at the dude in the thumbnail: that is one defeated dude right there. He looks like he just went 10 rounds with Gennady Golovkin and doesn’t want to go for the 11th. Who can blame him? The Timberwolves are terrible, he’s not performing up to even his low standards, and I bet Thibs is pissing everyone off by now.
For some players Europe is actually the better option. Is Belly one of those players? I bet he’d be such a beast for Fenerbahçe Ülker or Red Star Belgrade or one of those other teams that keep signing former NBAers.
