There’s some twisted part of me deep down that actually misses Brandon Jennings and his swaggy pull-up jumpers and his swaggy back-leaning threes on the Bucks. I know logically that I should hate Jennings for wasting four years of my Bucks fandom, and most of me does. But there’s this one little part that whispers “wasn’t it cool when he would get hot and all his swaggy shots would go in?”
That’s how he scored 55 that one time. That was cool. Usually it doesn’t work out like that, and I’m currently working on compartmentalizing that part of my brain so that it doesn’t feed me weird ideas anymore. I’m pretty sure it’s the same part of brain that is currently telling me that I desire a girlfriend. Uh, no. I’m done with women. Forever.
Back to Jennings. For a while there I was sure he was going to be made the starter at some point, but with Derrick Rose not playing like total garbage for the last two weeks or so, chances of a promotion for Jennings are getting more and more remote. Let me just put this thought here for your consumption and digestion: if Kristaps can be a beast sharing the court with Derrick “Five assists per 36” Rose, imagine how much of a beast he would be sharing the court with Brandon Jennings instead. Just think about it.
