It’s a good thing that Serge Ibaka is performing up to expectations, because it means the trade that brought him to Orlando is now merely rated as “pretty bad” and not “so bad that there should probably be a rule named after it” like it looked initially.
I’ve been thinking about the whole sitch, and I still don’t understand at all what the Magic were trying to accomplish there. I don’t think anyone does except for Rob Hennigan (who is probably younger than Ibaka LOL (lots of laughs)), and even he is doubtful. Does it matter? Probably, but for now I will simply enjoy Ibaka proving the haters wrong by hitting threes and blocking shots, irrespective of what it took to get him to Orlando.
