In a way, it’s Tristan Thompson’s fault that LeBron James is currently having a meltdown and telling everybody who will listen that he needs more playmakers. Not only because Tristan isn’t a playmaker himself, but because he knowingly signed a contract that paid him too much, a contract which then prevented the Cavaliers from acquiring the playmakers that LeBron craves. I would never sign a contract that overpaid me because I have a moral compass, the needle of which always pointing towards true magnetic north; Tristan clearly possesses no such compass, or if he does, it points in wrong directions.
Tristan’s status as LeBron’s ultimate BFF forever and most favorite pal is the direct cause of their recent struggles. The direct and sole cause. There are no other reasons. It’s unequivocally Tristan Thompson’s fault 100%. If he wasn’t absolute best bros with LeBron he would have went to some other team and the Cavs would have more space for guys like T.J. McConnell and probably Chris Paul or Mo Williams or something. He should have cut off all contact with LeBron after the finals; it would have ruined their friendship but it would have un-ruined the Cavs’ screwed up contract situation.
If the Cavs fail to repeat as champs this year, you know who I’m blaming: Tristan Thompson and his money-hungry ways.
