Once again, this sick scoring performance by Marcus Morris doesn’t even feel THAT sick. Objectively, I know it’s a sick performance. A career-highs for a role-player is sick. 37 points for a role-player is sick. That’s all there is to it. If a 37-point game by a player wasn’t sick, it would mean that player was not a role-player. Facts.
But watching this vid, it doesn’t seem like a sick performance. It just feels like a normal Marcus Morris scoring display. Nothing out of the ordinary, nothing sick about it. Just a bunch of shots that went through the net to go with some free throws. I even left out his 6 dimes to try and increase the intensity of the vid, to make the scoring more tightly compact and thus more sick. It didn’t work.
I don’t know that the deal is. This is a sick game by Marcus. Sicker than sick. Guys like him just don’t up and score 37 on a regular basis. But I feel nothing.
