Buddy Hield 16 Points Full Highlights (3/1/2017)

When DeMarcus Cousins was traded and the Kings immediately went out and won their first game after the trade, it was looking like maybe, just maybe, Cousins was really the problem in Sacramento and with him gone, the rest of the team could play real basketball free from the burden of his antics. The so-called Ewing Theory was in full effect, and not only was it being experimentally tested, it was being proven CORRECT.

Ha. Haha. Hahaha. Since that win, the Kings have lost to a badly slumping Hornets team, a middling Timberwolves team, and, now, a godawful Nets team. Buddy Hield has been playing very well (nearly 14 PPG on 50% shooting), but there is so little actual talent on the roster that it really doesn’t matter how well Hield plays. Hield’s semi-emergence mostly effects Ben McLemore, whose career the Kings organization seems singularly focused on ruining.

I was gonna try to make it through this description without referencing Stephen Curry in some way, but I’m short on material for Buddy so I’ll have to abandon my principles for this one. Hield is not currently better than Curry, but his 42% three-point mark in his four games with the Kings is better than Curry’s three-point percentage this season. Food for thought.
