The Nets just won a game! They didn’t manage to win one in February, but that’s cool, a lot of good teams often go entire months without winning. Caris LeVert (what kind of name is Caris anyway) was a big part of the win, contributing thirteen points, including a sick turnaround jumper and an okay dunk that should have been better. This sort of win over a team that isn’t absolute total garbage (remember, the Kings actually got BETTER when Cousins left) is the kind of win where you can build off of it to get even more wins.
My question is: was the Nets locker room jubilant after the game, or was it subdued because going a month and a half without winning is too embarrassing to acknowledge? My guess is that some high-fives were exchanged, some players said “nice win” to each other while chuckling ironically, and at least one player went home that night and didn’t feel like quitting basketball forever while they lay in bed for hours staring at the ceiling.
