Add the Hornets to the list of teams that somehow can’t handle Alan Williams. First the Bulls, then the Bulls again, then the Bucks, now the Hornets. All teams that simply could not cope with Big Sauce’s girth. This list somehow keeps growing longer even though BIG SAUCE is, despite his nickname, actually not that big of a dude for what position he plays.
His per 36 numbers were absolutely insane last season (with a sample size of 68 minutes, admittedly). How does 15 and 20 sound? Pretty dominating! Williams is actually kind of playing minutes sometimes this year, and he’s still averaging 18 and 15 per 36. Alex Len might be able to average those numbers if you put him on my local middle school’s B-squad. Maybe. Probably not though.
The Suns are done winning games this year, barring accidents like tonight, so I don’t see a reason why BIG SAUCE can’t get the bulk of the center minutes from here on out. Him and Tyler Ulis have a serious connection, and I’m not even joking, it seriously looks like they literally have some above-average chemistry on the court.
