Ivica Zubac 14 Points/2 Blocks Full Highlights (3/9/2017)

I was going to type up a big long description with a bunch of words about how Timofey Mozgov hates Ivica Zubac for the latter stealing all of the former’s minutes, but then I realized, Mozgov probably doesn’t care very much about his minutes situation given how much he’s getting paid right now. Perhaps Mozgov even realizes on some level that Zubac deserves all these minutes in order to grow and mature as a player; growing and maturing are two things that Mozgov has already done. The Russia vs. Croatia beef is dead before it even began.

The Lakers have gone almost fully into “develop your young players” mode – the only two players who played last night that don’t fit into the “young player” category are Nick Young and Corey Brewer. And maybe Tarik Black. Not because Black isn’t young (he’s 25), but because he doesn’t seem like a guy with tons of potential like the other young players on the Lakers. Zubac, for example, has so much potential that his urine is bright orange. Because orange is the color of potential. There’s so much potential in him that his body has to get rid of the extra by making his pee look like orange soda.

Fourteen points in seventeen minutes is excellent for the young guy who didn’t have many expectations placed on him early in the year. Now I just want to see him get more minutes so he can chase after some 20/10 games. I believe Reggie Miller agrees with me.
