Sorry Serbians, but this might have to count as my designated Serbian-player highlight of the day, since Nikola Jokic only had 18 points. Dislike this video if you want, as a show of disapproval for my decision, but I can’t do highlights of EVERY Jokic performance. Besides, he’s getting to be kind of a good player, kind of outside the scope of this channel, unlike Nemanja Bjelica, who is still very much a role-player. I’ll take Bjelica scoring 16 over Jokic scoring 18 any day.
This isn’t the usual Bjelica highlight vid. This one has buckets in the paint. Not just three-pointers. He’s been going inside a bit more recently, since his three-ball has not been going in very often, and it’s paying off. He’s had a bunch of double-digit scoring games since the All-Star break, and he’s also thrown in a few double-digit rebounding games as well. Does that mean he is the reason for the Timberwolves post-All-Star turnaround? Probably not all of it, but some of it! Man, I’m so optimistic right now. Optimistic for Bjelica.
