Rodney McGruder 13 Points Full Highlights (3/23/2017)

Out of all the Rodneys currently in the NBA, Rodney McGruder is likely the worst. Stuckey is probably still better than him at this point, and Hood is obviously way better than either. The good news for McGruder is that he can soon overtake Stuckey because Stuckey is thirty years old now and will never again be a featured part of a team; he’s played in about half of the Pacers’ games this year. When that happens, McGruder would be the second-best Rodney in the NBA. That’s something you can tell your grandkids when you’re old.

Unfortunately, Hood is pretty young and as long as he’s in the league, McGruder has very little chance to catch him. Even Heat fans who are bullish on McGruder would have to acknowledge that his ceiling is not as high as Hood’s. The crazy thing is, McGruder is actually OLDER than Hood despite being a rookie this year. Old rookies never have upside. That’s the rule. Even if they throw down open-court tomahawk dunks.

I wonder if Rodney Carney could make an NBA comeback.
