It’s time for Nikola Mirotic to find another team. Yeah, he’s playing big minutes as of right now, but the Bulls have shown that they won’t hesitate to bench him/DNP him for no reason at all. At any moment, BAM, Mirotic could find his heinie superglued to the bench while Joffrey Lauvergne gets to play 40 minutes per game. He needs to get to a team that will appreciate his talents and give him a consistent role even if he goes through slumps sometimes.
Just make sure it isn’t a Tobias Harris situation where he escapes a coach who hates him (Scott Skiles, doesn’t that name bring back fun memories Bulls fans?), only to have that coach come to his new team. If Fred Hoiberg decides to follow Mirotic wherever he goes just so he can keep benching him, I’m gonna be pissed.
I bet the Clippers could use him. When is the trade deadline? Is it too late to have him help get Chris Paul a ring? Dammit.
