Rudy Gobert 21 Points Full Highlights (5/6/2017)

Does anybody else get annoyed by the “PLAYOFF INTENSITY” fetishism that is displayed both on TV broadcasts and on the internet in general? Maybe I don’t like it when people display emotions since I myself am an emotionless semi-human, but the whole thing feels like its trying to ascribe more meaning to what is, like all other sports, essentially a meaningless activity.

While we’re on the subject of me not having any emotions, I’m like, just play the game in an empty arena so there aren’t any fans being raucous and annoying. If there’s one thing that annoys me more than endless bleating about “PHYSICAL PLAYOFF BASKETBALL”, it’s fans who yell at the refs and the players. Can’t you just sit quietly and enjoy the game? Maybe Gobert would have a chance at making some of his free throws if everybody wasn’t yelling while he’s trying to concentrate. And maybe Draymond Green would stop hamming it up if there was nobody around to react to his antics.

And while we’re at it, play the games without commentators so that the fans at home can form their own opinions rather than be given the opinions that have been put through the national media filter. So: empty arena, no noise, no commentary, and no emotion from the players. Disallow timeouts in the final five minutes of the game and that’s basically my dream NBA. I don’t even know if I’m being serious right now.
