I have come to the regrettable determination that Dënniß ßchrööder no longer has any fans. In his fifth year in the league he’s pretty well established himself as a fringe All-Star who can average something close to 20/7, but there doesn’t seem to be a contingent of people who are rallying behind him as the league’s next star point guard. This doesn’t make sense to me because he would really only need to make one more significant leap before he’s up there with the Kyrie Irvings and the Kyle Lowrys of the world (think last season Lowry not this season Lowry here).
Part of the disinterest probably stems from the fact that the Hawks are only competing for ping pong balls this year. But that can’t be the whole story, because people get hyped for good players on bad teams all the time. My whole life is based around occurrences of players taking advantage of bad team situations to be more successful than they would normally be. I also don’t think that the diseased patch of mold growing on ßchrööder’s head has a lot to do with his minimal popularity. He’s European, which should help his cause, but I guess German people are too busy eating Doner Kebabs and keeping the Euro afloat to pay attention to this German Wunderkind who’s beasting in the NBA.
Maybe we’ll never know why nobody cares about Dënniß ßchrööder. All I know is, I’m getting real sick of making these assist-heavy videos and having less than two thousand people watch them.
