I don’t even blame the Detroit Pistons for giving up on Spencer Dinwiddie. I wouldn’t even call it “giving up”; Dinwiddie didn’t look like anything special during his time in Detroit, and that’s being charitable. There was no one on this earth who could’ve predicted the sudden and sharp ascent of Din-Dins in Brooklyn. Even the Nets are probably surprised by the whole situation.
That doesn’t mean this wasn’t a revenge game though. Dinwiddie likely fully understood why he got traded (for Cameron Bairstow [LOL {loving our laughs}]), but there’s no reason why he shouldn’t feel extreme animosity towards them for not letting him unleash his apparent potential. And what better way to exact your revenge on your former team than by hitting a game-winner? All ten fans in attendance were ruing the day they ever decided to become a fan of that cursed franchise.
Dinsanity is here, folks, and Dinsanity is here to stay.
