This is an interesting video because it includes some things that don’t usually happen for T.J. “Warren Peace” Warren:
1. He shoots free throws
2. He makes a three-pointer
3. He doesn’t make any midrange jumpshots
I guess I’m overstating his lack of free throws a little bit. Suns fans will tell you that he doesn’t get any calls, well, I’m here to tell you that he does get some calls at least some of the time. Maybe not as many as you would expect for a guy who scores a lot of his points by converting tough layups in traffic, but it’s not like this guy has never gotten fouled before. Maybe if he didn’t make so many of his layups, he would get more calls. Missed layup = you probably got fouled.
The midrange jumper thing is bothering me though. I make Warren videos because I want his midrange mastery to be on display. If he’s not going to display it, why am I making the video? Because I like watching layups (“LAMEups”)? Scoff. In my opinion, he is big enough to set screens for Devin Booker, so, in my opinion, Triano should be running pick-and-pops with those two all day so Warren can get midrange jimbos all day like he’s a shorter, darker Andrea Bargnani. Is there like a Monster link or something where I can apply to be the next head coach of the Suns?
