What’s up with all these people who want to beef with Ricky Rubio? He is a participant in more beefs than any active NBA player, I think, and these aren’t fake Twitter beefs, these are PHYSICAL beefs. I wouldn’t be surprised if he keeps a makeshift shiv in his shoe, because it seems like every NBA team has a dude who wants to get in his face and commence beefage.
Tonight, it was Dennis Schroder, who took a big upperhand swing at Rubio and maybe grazed his face a little bit. Rubio went down like he’d been decked by prime Kimbo Slice (is that dude even relevant anymore? [I just looked it up and it turns out he died]), which probably reinforced some negative stereotypes that certain people have of European players.
Schroder probably ended up coming out ahead in this particular beef-out, as he scored 41 to Rubio’s measly 23. Rubio’s scoring stopped suddenly after he hit two buckets early in the second half, while Schroder kept his up throughout the game and somehow actually won the actual game. Bad loss for the Jazz, probably, I can’t be bothered to figure out playoff implications because it’s just way too complicated for me now.
