I imagine that every single person, besides Serbs who watched him in Europe, who views this highlight video will come away impressed/stunned by the types of shots Nemanja Bjelica was making. I saw a lot of him in Minnesota, and he had maybe 1.5 performances during all those years there where he did the stuff he was doing tonight.
He’s not just a three-point shooter anymore, people.
Add him to the list of players Tom Thibodeau has underutilized. That list actually isn’t nearly as long as the list of players he has overutilized, but it’s substantive. And now it had Bjelica’s name on it, because Bjelica has proven that he can take the ball inside the three-point arc and still direct it into the basket.
Doug Christie was trying to pretend like he knew Bjelica could do this the whole time but close listening to the part around 1:24 reveals what he really thinks about the matter. Or, rather, what he doesn’t think, because he sounded incapable of putting together a coherent thought in response to Bjelica’s on-court magic.
