Cameron Payne 17 Points Full Highlights (10/20/2018)

The bad news for Chicago Bulls fans is that their team is going to be bad this year. The good news is that Jerian Grant isn’t around anymore so they don’t have to worry about whether they hate him or Cameron Payne more for being totally incapable of running a functioning NBA offense. Now the debate is between Payne and Ryan Arcidiacono, which is a way less polarizing debate. How can anyone hate Arcie? They can’t, his unmelanated status conveys benefits like imperviosity from criticism, among others.

Payne has no such immunity. He gets judged fairly for his play on the court, and thus receives a fair amount of criticism. He’s not that good. Passive, not a great shooter, doesn’t even get that many assists, hesitant to drive. I hope he doesn’t see this because that previous sentence will make him really sad but in that case he should try being more aggressive instead of being sad.

This was a pretty decent game, great even by his standards. He scored a bit, and he had one or two nice passes. That doesn’t mean that Bulls fans don’t want Arcidiacono to start instead while they wait for Kris Dunn to un-dead himself, though. At least, that’s what I assume they want, because I’m projecting my desires for white American PGs onto them.
