Nik Stauskas 15 Points Full Highlights (10/22/2018)

There was a good chance, with the final game of the season ending with Nik Stauskas posterizing some Celtics scrub who shall remain nameless, that that was the last we would see of him in the NBA. Apparently, according to some interview, he thought so too. Sad, but he wouldn’t be the first high pick to wash out of the NBA early and go dominate Europe for the rest of his career.

Many were incredulous that the Blazers would sign him, replacing Pat Connaughton with someone who has even fewer intangibles. But, like Vivek said so long ago, he’s tall like Klay and shoots like Steph, so why not give him another shot to see if they can squeeze some remaining potential out of him?

I think, even if he suffered a season-ending injury caused by slipping in a pool of authentic Canadian maple syrup, that right now it has been worth it for Portland. He kinda won them the game against the Lakers with his career-high performance, and tonight he nearly won the game for them straight up by hitting a tie-breaking three with mere seconds left in the game. Certain Wizards players had to go and ruin his heroics, but that doesn’t mean that his heroics weren’t heroic. Plenty of heroes end up dying pretty quick after their valiant actions.
